Now, with that out of the way, let’s get to this week’s news round up on all things data and AI
The Buzz 🐝
During GTC 2025, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang introduced the Blackwell Ultra AI server with 50% better performance, unveiled the Vera Rubin AI server with 3.3x the speed of Blackwell Ultra, and showcased 'Blue,' a humanoid robot developed in collaboration with Disney Research and Google DeepMind.
When asked what he wants to do when he grows up, Blue said the following:
Anthropic's Claude 3.7 Sonnet now features web search with real-time citations for up-to-date answers, and also include 'extended thinking' modes like “think harder” for deeper reasoning.

I asked Claude to think harder and it responded with “I already am. You, however…”
OpenAI has rebranded its Chat Playground as the Prompts Playground, offering a redesigned interface to enhance prompt testing, comparison, and iteration.

Measuring AI Ability to Complete Long Tasks
METR's analysis reveals that AI models' task completion capabilities have been doubling approximately every seven months over the past six years, with current models like Claude 3.7 Sonnet handling tasks that take humans about 50 minutes. If this trend continues, AI systems could autonomously perform many software tasks requiring days or weeks of human effort within five years.
